About us

Established in 2001, Adapt-IT was set up by Martyn Slyper to provide Assistive Technology and computer aids, both hardware and software, to the disabled community. Quality IT products have been selected to help enable people with disabilities and our products now include items for young and elderly people, in fact anyone who would benefit from technology for their special needs.

Our services include:

  • Assessments and advice on computer hardware and software to help disabled users or users with Special Needs
  • Ergonomic assessments
  • Supply of special needs and ergonomic computer equipment and software
  • Installation services
  • Training on the hardware and software products supplied

Adapt-IT also supplies technology products to assist with RSI problems at the workplace, as well as consultancy and training as required.

Martyn is also an Expert Witness consultant for Personal Injury claims.

Image of Watford MENCAPWorking for the disabled community we have built up a client base of hundreds of clients including nearly 200 Local Authorities and Government Agencies, numerous Colleges and Universities, Hospitals and NHS Trusts and Corporates, as well as over 600 individuals with disabilities, special needs or learning difficulties who benefit from technology or ergonomically designed products.

In addition we work together with a number of charities, such as Hertfordshire Action on Disability, RNIB and Mencap and we have a showrooms in our Borehamwood, Hertfordshire office.
