SUBJECT: Mathematics

Lifeskills software is designed to support an older pupil who is experiencing some difficulty understanding techniques for telling the time and handling money. It also provides a valuable resource for all pupils working at the initial levels of attainment for Time and Money in the National Curriculum on Mathematics - Space and Measures and the SOEID National Guidelines 5-14 Mathematics - Number Money and Measurement. Important features of the Lifeskills software include the inbuilt scanning option and the wide range of teacher options that allow the content of each of these seven activities to be customised to meet the needs of individual pupils. Each of the seven stimulating activities is set within a townscape where pupils are encouraged to learn by solving puzzles and managing everyday situations:

• The Van (run an ice-cream van)
• Journey (finance board game)
• Lunch Box (eating out on a budget)
• Sorting Game (Recognise different coins)
• Jet Setter (travel the world).

This program has compatibility issues with Vista and Windows 7 and so can only be run on Windows XP
